Arriving by Public Transportation

These directions assume you are arriving in Boston via a plane flight into Logan airport. And assuming you don't want to rent a car. If you've never driven in Boston traffic this is a good choice.

The trip takes about two hours, depending upon the schedule. These instructions are good if you're departing from the airport anywhere between 5:30am and midnight. The Silver Line runs past midnight, but buses departing the airport after midnight might not be able to make a connection with the Red Line.

Information on MBTA accessibility, including guides on bus and subway accessibility features, can be found here: https://www.mbta.com/accessibility

In Logan Airport, follow the signs to board the Silver Line. The Silver Line (SL1) will stop at all terminals. Boarding is free as is transfer to the Red Line in South Station. Take the SL1 to South Station and transfer to the Red Line.

If you are traveling to Boston via Amtrack or bus from points south, you will also arrive at South Station. You should follow these directions from this point. The fare to get onto the Red Line is $2.40. There are fare machines located outside the fare gates, where one can buy a ticket for a single ride or for several rides. Be aware that wheelchair users may have trouble reaching some of the on-screen options as well as the insert slots for coins and cards.

Board any Red Line train bound for Alewife station (Northbound). From there take the 350 bus (North Burlington via Mall Rd) to the Burlington Mall Rd @ Burlington Marriott stop. This will be right in front of the hotel.

The bus fare from Alewife station to the Hotel is $1.70.

To go back to the airport or South Station, follow the instructions in reverse. You will need to pay both the Bus fare and the Red Line fare to return to South Station.
