Tom Greene, M.F.A, Ph.D., has served as a Professor of English and Associate Dean at Northern Essex Community College with specializations in writing (creative, expository, and technical), Victorian literature, folklore, cultural studies, and genre fiction. Dr. Greene is the author of assorted science fiction stories published in Strange Horizons, Interzone, Analog, and elsewhere. He grew up in south Texas, is biracial Latino/Anglo, and was supposed to be a biologist before taking a left turn into language arts. When not teaching or writing, he enjoys film, music, and gives talks on vampire literature. He lives in a 19th century house in Salem, Massachusetts with his wife and approximately four cats.
