Sally Wiener Grotta (she/her) is a writer, photographer, podcaster, and speaker, whose hundreds of articles, essays, columns and stories have appeared in scores of magazines, newspapers, online publications and anthologies. The author of numerous novels and non-fiction books, her newest books are Of Being Women, a collection of feminist science fiction (Noble Fusion Press, 2023) and Daughters of Eve (Bayit Publishing, 2024), an essay-based discussion & journaling workbook, which explores conflicting interpretations of the stories of biblical women to facilitate dialogues about modern life, concerns and crises. As a journalist, Sally has traveled throughout the world on assignment for publications such as Popular Science, The Robb Report, Lear’s Magazine, Islands Magazine, and many others. Her beat was a wide diversity of cultures, traditions and accomplishments on all continents (including three trips to Antarctica) and numerous islands (e.g.  Papua New Guinea and The Falklands). Sally is the host of two video podcasts in which she interviews authors, artists and other creative thinkers: “Judith Magazine’s Tell Me More” and her personal What If? Why Not? How? Her best-known photographic project is American Hands, which featured traditional tradespeople (blacksmiths, weavers, bookbinders, etc.) and received dozens of grants in support of exhibits that were visited by over 300,000 people. As a speaker, Sally inspires her audiences to ask questions they might not have considered previously, to trust their innate creativity, to listen to each other with respect, and to craft possible solutions together. Sally's wide-ranging experiences flavor her stories, art, and presentations with a sense of wonder, appreciation for human potential, and a healthy dose of common sense.  Sally is a member of The Authors Guild and SFWA.
