Gregory A. Wilson is a professor of English at St. John's University in New York, where he teaches creative writing, speculative fiction, and other literature courses. He is the author of the epic fantasy The Third Sign (Gale Cengage, 2009); the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Silver Medal-winning graphic novel Icarus (Atthis Arts, 2020), first book of The Longest Fall trilogy; and the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Silver Medal-winning dark fantasy Grayshade (Atthis Arts, 2022), first book of The Gray Assassin Trilogy, with the sequel Renegade due out in July and other related material (like a TTRPG designed by Brandon O'Brien) due out by the end of the summer. His first RPG adventure, Tales and Tomes from the Forbidden Library, was published by Alligator Alley Entertainment in 2020, and the second edition of his academic book, The Problem in the Middle: Liminal Space and the Court Masque, was published in 2019 by Clemson University Press. He has many short stories in various anthologies. He co-hosts the critically acclaimed Speculate! (speculatesf.com), an actual play podcast in its 13th year and a New Jersey Web Fest Early Selection honoree. He is programming co-coordinator for the Gen Con Writers' Symposium, and he regularly presents work at national and international conventions. Wilson has written numerous articles and book chapters on a variety of academic subjects. He is the lead singer and trumpet player for the progressive rock band The Road (thebandtheroad.com), currently working on its fourth album. Finally, under the moniker Arvan Eleron, he hosts a successful Twitch channel focused on narrative, with many sponsored TTRPG campaigns featuring authors like Amal El-Mohtar, Cat Rambo, Carlos Hernandez (whom he first met at Readercon!), and others. He lives with his wife (Clea), daughter (Senavene), and son (Calen)—both children named at his wife's urging for characters in The Third Sign, for which he believes they have forgiven him—in southern Connecticut, in a former sea captain's 200-year-old home. His virtual home is gregoryawilson.com.
