Christopher M. Cevasco (Chris) is the author of Beheld: Godiva's Story (Lethe Press, 2022), a darkly twisted psychological thriller set in the 11th Century and exploring the legend of Lady Godiva's naked ride. It was the bronze winner in the "Historical - Great Britain, Scotland, Ireland" category of The Historical Fiction Company's 2022 Book of the Year Awards.
Chris's short fiction has appeared in many magazines and anthologies, including Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Black Static, and the Prime Books anthologies Shades of Blue and Gray: Ghosts of the Civil War (2013) and Zombies: Shambling Through the Ages (2013). When he's not writing fiction, he creates bestselling Dungeons & Dragons content available both online at the DMsGuild and in books published by by Kobold Press, including Tome of Heroes (2022) and the Kobold Guide to Dungeons (2023).
For the past five years, Chris has been the assistant series editor to John Joseph Adams, series editor of the annual Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy anthology (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). From 2003 to 2009, he was the founding editor of the award-winning Paradox: The Magazine of Historical and Speculative Fiction. He is a 2006 graduate of the Clarion Writers' Workshop and a 2007 graduate of Taos Toolbox. Chris lives with his wife and their two children in Myrtle Beach, SC.
