Amal El-Mohtar (https://amalelmohtar.com/) is a New York Times best-selling author of fiction, poetry, and criticism. Her stories and poems have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, most recently in The Book of Witches and From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi. She is co-author, with Max Gladstone, of This is How You Lose the Time War, which won the Hugo, Nebula, Locus, BSFA and Aurora awards and has been translated into over ten languages. Her articles and reviews have appeared in the New York Times, NPR Books and on Tor.com, and she has been the New York Times's science fiction and fantasy columnist since 2018. She lives in Ottawa.
