Alisa Kwitney is an editor and writer. She was a founding editor for the Vertigo imprint of DC Comics and for Liminal Comics, an imprint of Brain Mill Press. She has taught comic book writing at Fordham University and Manhattanville College and through the comicbooksschool.com, and has taught writing the romance novel at McDaniel's graduate school. Kwitney is also the author of the Eisner-nominated Destiny: A Chronicle of Deaths Foretold; GILT and HOWL from AHOY Comics; the New York Times Notable pick Till the Fat Lady Sings; The Dominant Blonde; The Better to Hold You (as Alisa Sheckley) and Cadaver and Queen. Her licensed product novels include The New Avengers: Breakout and Rogue: Untouched. Kwitney has a B.A. in English from Wesleyan, where she studied with Kit Reed and received the Horgan Prize for best short story, and an MFA from Columbia University.
