Darcie Little Badger is a Lipan Apache writer and geoscientist. She currently co-writes Strangelands, an ongoing comic series in the Humanoids H1 shared superhero universe, with Magdalene Visaggio. Her short fiction, nonfiction, and comics have appeared in multiple places, including Take the Mic: Fictional Stories of Everyday Resistance, (Arthur A. Levine Books, 2019), Strange Horizons, The Dark, Love Beyond Body, Space, & Time: An Indigenous LGBT Sci-Fi Anthology (Bedside Press, 2016), Mythic Delirium Magazine, and Moonshot: The Indigenous Comics Collection Volumes 2 (Alternate History Comics, 2015) and 3 (Alternate History Comics, 2017). Her stories have also been reprinted in multiple anthologies.

Darcie earned a PhD in Oceanography from Texas A&M and a bachelor's degree in geoscience from Princeton University. Much like the plankton she studies, Darcie lives in a state of motion, drifting between the east and west coast.
