Beth Bernobich is a writer, reader, mother, geek, and a sometimes student of the martial arts. She has several novels forthcoming: Ars Memoriae (PS Publishing, March 2009), Passion Play (Tor, October 2009), Queen's Hunt Tor, 2010), and Allegiance (Tor, 2011). Her novelette "A Flight of Numbers Fantastique Strange" (Asimov's, June 2006) was on the Locus Recommended Reading List for 2006. Her short story "Poison" (Strange Horizons, January 2003) was a finalist for the 2004 Gaylactic Spectrum Award. Her other short fiction has appeared in Interzone, Subterranean Online, Helix SF, Magic in the Mirrorstone, and Sex in the System, among other places. "Shopping Spree" appears in Baen's Universe in August. "The Golden Octopus" appears in Postscripts Magazine, in the special Worldcon Issue, also in August. She is a graduate of the Viable Paradise Workshop (2001).
She lives in Bethany, CT with her husband, son, and two very dim cats. She makes her living swearing at code.
